Ron Jones – “The Voice of La Jolla“, founder of “La Jolla Insiders“

Ron Jones has agreed to be the Emcee of La Jolla Mutt Strut. 🙌 We are excited to have him celebrate with us. He is widely known in our community for hosting La Jolla Concerts by the Sea for years.

His most recent adventure is the creation of La Jolla Insiders where he shares his deep knowledge of everything La Jolla has to offer. In addition to knowing where to go and what to see, he is able to share a deeper understanding of La Jolla’s history and traditions, finding a deeper meaning in your experiences. Whether you are a tourist, a local, or a new resident, you will always find something you didn’t know about pretty much anything in La Jolla.

Everyone knows these guys as they are one of the most established pet clinics in town. They are experienced, knowledgeable, and they truly care about all animals.

In fact, dogs and cats are not the only expertise Dr. Raichel offers to our community. She’s worked in zoos, aquariums, and many other exotic places. Just ask her about her dolphin work or a polar bear club, and you’ll get lots of stories and photos. She’s our own Dr. Doolittle, and we are lucky to have her in our town.

In addition to being Vikings supporters, they have offered their expertise to tend to any emergencies that could happen during our event. Of course, everyone is keeping their dogs on leashes, and we are screening out aggressive pets. Still, it’s comforting to know that someone will be there for all our pets if needed. Thank you! 🙏🐾

Pawtopia Dog Training – official La Jolla Mutt Strut dog trainer on-site!

Have you ever wanted to teach your dog some fun tricks? You know your dog is smart, but it does take a special person to figure out what is gonna motivate your four-legged child! This is your opportunity to meet and spend time with Colleen Demling-Riley, CPDT-KA, CBCC-KA, CDBC.

Colleen will teach a dog trick class during La Jolla Mutt Strut (event schedule coming soon), and she’ll mingle with everyone, answer questions, and even give you tips on how to photograph your dogs for those awesome Instagram posts.

It is a great opportunity to get advice right there at the event from someone who has spent over 20 years helping La Jolla residents. With over 50,000 hours of HANDS-ON dog training experience, she has the expertise to help you with any dog training need you have! Colleen is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals and has been a featured expert in local and national media NBC, CBS, KUSI, The New York Times, Woman’s Day, Readers Digest, Cosmopolitan and Yahoo.com.

Have you ever tried a dog yoga class? Our local Prana Yoga Center is donating a great fun class for dogs and their owners during the Mutt Strut party. Stay tuned as this is a sign-up-only class available to the attendees of La Jolla Mutt Strut. Participation will be limited.

Our Dog Dream – Mina’s Dog Rescue

One of Mina’s greatest loves is her dog rescue Our Dog Dream.  There she rescues homeless dogs from the street and local kill shelters.  She currently has 21 dogs and is always looking for support in helping her save many more.  One of the greatest aspects of Mina’s rescue is that even if a dog is ill or ‘unadoptable’ the dog will always have a home with her.
